Ryan McCormick is President of Rising Sun Public Relations based in New York, NY. McCormick is best known for his publicity work in comedy where he serves as both Publicity Director for the Comic Strip Live and the New York Underground Comedy Festival. McCormick has been Publicity Director of the NYUCF since 2004.

Notable Achievements

* On June 5th, 2008 McCormick set a Guinness World Record for the "Most Consecutive Hours Ever Worked by a Publicist (it was 64)." He accomplished this working the Comic Strip Live's Guinness World Record Event show - a 50 hour stand up comedy show and the longest stand up comedy show in history.

* In 2005, McCormick was cited by PR News as on of their "15 to Watch"

History

Prior to public relations, McCormick has an extensive tenure working in the media. He is a former editor of Long Island Business News. McCormick also became an Associate Producer and then was promoted to Senior Producer of WCTV-CBS News. There McCormick spent close to a year producing a 2-hour local morning show, writing scripts, and booking guests. He also spent several years freelance writing for the New York Post and Long Island Entertainment News.

In 2004, McCormick became both PR Director for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Long Island Chapter and the New York Underground Comedy Festival.
