hell description
The shell is similar to "
Mayena australasia australasia " but has a more acute peripheral angle, which is studded with fewer, stronger, and more pointed nodes (four to six between the varices).Coloration is pale buff, with the peripheral nodes slightly tinged with pale reddish-brown. The
periostracum is yellowish, bearing short bristles at all points of intersection with axial and spiral threads.The shell height is up to 81 mm, and the width is up to 43 mm.
