Edvin Liveric

Edvin Liverić was born on November 20. 1970, in Rijeka, Croatia. He graduated from Academy of Dramatic Arts 1995. in Zagreb. For some time he was a member of Croatian National Theatre in Varaždin. From 1995. he is under recurring status in ZKM (Zagrebačko kazalište mladih). From 1996 - 2005 he teaches at the Academy of Dramatic Arts - (the scene movement). He's a member of Croatian Dance Institute, where he's working as a selector and the personal assistant to a Festival's Art Director - "Tjedan suvremenog plesa". From 2003. he has worked as the Art Director for Street Art Festival in Poreč. He's also a Co-Founder of a theatre group TRAFIK with whom he creates the award winning play Hodač (The Walker) hommage a J.P.Kamov. He's working closely with a dance theatre. He creates many roles in Croatian theatres, as well as abroad (Italy, Netherlands, Germany). Most memorable roles in the plays are: Imago, Žudnja, 50% (in Theatre EXIT), Hamper, Kraljevo, Insektarij, Događaj u gradu Gogi (ZKM), Proces, Woyzeck ( HNK Varaždin), Granica, Dundo Maroje ( Italian drama – HNK Rijeka), Sat u kojem nismo znali ništa jedni o drugima ( Mittlefest – Italy), Koora ( Croatian Institute for movement & dance - theatre Ljubljana.) Also he's been working troughout many theatre productions in Croatia as well as in Slovenia. He also appeared in many Croatian and foreign movies: Balko, Svjetsko čudovište, Konjanik, La Femme Musketeer. He debutes as director of several theatre plays: Bračni prizori by I. Bergman (Theatre &TD), Eva Braun and Igre u dvorištu (Theatre EXIT), Draga Elena Sergejevna (Theatare ŠKUC/Glej – Ljubljana), Draga Elena Sergejevna (ZKM) i Pozdrav s Jadrana (TRAFIK). He received the award Vladimir Nazor for the play Imago. Edvin also appeared in several TV shows, Sitcoms and Soaps: "Kazalište u kući", "|"Ljubav u zaledju" ", "Cimmer Fraj", |"Bitange i princeze" , but he became known to the wider audience as a witty and sharp designer Aleks Kralj on a short lived Croatian version of |"Ugly Betty" ,|"Ne daj se, Nina"
