During the German
Invasion of Poland in 1939, German forces on 21th September together withSelbstschutz murdered 12 people in the village. After the victims were buried by local population, Germans defiled the burial sites and took the corpses in unknown direction. Thee murder was made with the help of local Germans living in the village, among others:Block Hermann, his wife Gebert, Rosenau Willi, Templin Albert.
