"Smart live Casino" is an interactive gaming show launched in May 2007, making it one of the newest gambling channels on UK Digital Television (terrestrial and satellite). It allows people to place bids on the outcome of a roulette spin using live streaming video via a web site or satellite or digital terrestrial TV and phoning a free number shown on screen.

Overview

"Smart TV Broadcasting Ltd" is a registered company (584 9825) in England and Wales and began transmissions on May 19, 2007, on SKY 851. Later this was extended to digital terrestrial TV on Freeview Channel 22. SKY changed the channel to 869 in July 2007.

Outside of normal presenter-led broadcast times, a fully-automatic air-powered roulette wheel — sealed under a glass dome — appears on the TV channel and web site, recreating the real wheel experience.

A second channel showing an High Rollar Auto wheel 24 hours a day called Casino TV was launched on SKY channel 870 on July 7, 2008

Smart Live Casino and its croupiers are licensed by the " [http://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk Great Britain Gambling Commission] ".

The Game

This televised version of the game of roulette exactly mimics the game found in real casinos around Europe. "Smart live Casino" uses the single zero European wheel, rather than the American double zero version, which shifts the odds slightly in favour of players and away from the house. Each game is open for two minutes for viewers to place bets and a new number is spun approximately every three minutes.

Method of Play

Chips are placed on the table by means of a telephone menu. Play is also encouraged via the website http://www.smartlivecasino.com

The Odds

Roulette is a fixed odds game, and "Smart live Casino" operates just like a real geographical casino.

Age Restrictions

Under strict UK gambling laws, players must aged 18 years or older to become a member and play roulette. "Smart live Casino" uses electronic validation methods to ensure potential players are over the age of 18. In certain cases, however, physical documentation that shows proof of date of birth can be requested.

Membership Options

VIP Account

A VIP account allows someone to take part in the game at any time and place chips, up to a certain house limit, just as they could in a real casino. At present, only players based in the United Kingdom are able to sign up for a VIP account.

Being a VIP member offers several benefits:-

1) In addition to deposit match bonuses of up to £100 to all players, VIP's are entitled to further cash bonuses and exclusive prize giveaways on a monthly basis.

2) There are exclusive, no-strings-attached bonus cash, monthly prizes and anniversary gifts for long-term players, including occasional "Happy Hour promotions" where "Smart live Casino" refunds losses up to £50 on live games.

3) Players celebrating a birthday receive a present each year on top of the standard eligibility to participate in birthday draws live on TV.

Winners

After each spin, every winner from that game is displayed on screen, along with the amount of chips won, and the names are also read out by the presenter.

Playing for Fun

Clicking on a "Play For Fun" icon next to any of the web site games delivers fun chips. Fun chips can be reloaded up to five times to allow players to try games before depositing and converting their account to a Real Money Account. This free-play option is available from the "Smart live Casino" web site to players almost anywhere in the world.

Participation TV

"Smart live Casino" is a fully interactive show where players and viewers can e-mail the presenters in the studio with comments, feedback, questions and suggestions, or even add to the discussion of the topics being covered. These discussions can be wide-ranging and often humourous and not limited to Casino gambling
