accessdate = 2008-06-23] Currently, Kenya has a GDP growth of 4.9% (2007). The vision calls for a series of five-year plans, with the first one being between 2008-2012. The first plan calls for investments in six key sectors with 20 flagship projects. The targeted sectors aretourism ,agriculture ,manufacturing ,trade ,information technology , andfinancial services .It was announced on June 10, 2008, that the
province of Isiolo, will be the first project to be developed. The plan calls for Isiolo to become a tourist center that will include casinos, hotels, upscale retail outlets, a modern airport and transport facilities. The Kenyan government hopes that this plan will boast the tourism sector in Kenya. Currently, tourism is mostly centered around
