Howard Lorber

Howard Mark Lorber (born September 8, 1948) is the President and CEO of Vector Group Ltd., a holding company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. He is also the Chairman of Douglas Elliman, a subsidiary of Vector Group, which is the largest residential real estate brokerage in the New York metropolitan area. Lorber was born in The Bronx but grew up in Paramus, New Jersey. He attended Long Island University where he is currently on the board of trustees. Lorber Hall was named in his honor. While he was in college, Lorber joined The Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. It had a large impact on his Jewish identity, and as such he endowed a position within the organization called the Lorber Director of Jewish Programming.
