Deibert’s writing has appeared in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Miami Herald, The Guardian, Folha de Sao Paulo, Le Monde diplomatique and the World Policy Journal, among other publications. In addition to Haiti[2] [3], Deibert has also reported extensively on the Democratic Republic of Congo[4][5], France[6][7][8] and Guatemala[9][10].
While Deibert's work on Haiti has been praised by Haitian scholars [11] [12] and others, [13] [14] it has also been criticized by partisans of former Haitian president Jean-Bertrand Aristide.[15][16]
Michael Deibert lives in New Orleans.[17].
