Her debut EP 'The Contact' was released to great critical acclaim in November 2004, securing her airplay on BBC Radio 2, and the accolade of 'whispering'Bob Harris declaring: 'that is "very" dramatic music'.UK national music magazine 'Classic Rock' gave her a glowing 8/10 review, an unprecedented result for a debut album.
Her fans and the music press have been keenly awaiting a follow-up release ever since.Fact|date=July 2008
Helder's constant touring since the 'The Contact' has taken her across the UK, into Europe and the USA; and she has worked with many great and legendary artists, both as a support artist and in several collaborative projects. But, this busy period has also meant that solo recording-time has been thin on the ground, and she has long expressed the wish to get her next solo album out - she has stated that 2008 will definitely see this happening, and so she is currently laying groundwork for this project.
Meanwhile, she has also been working with 2 bands, which are separate projects to her solo songwriting:-
Panic Room is a new band based in Wales, UK, and Anne-Marie has co-written their first album 'Visionary Position' with keyboardist Jonathon Edwards. From 2001 to 2004, Helder was a member of the successful Welsh band 'Karnataka', along with Edwards and 2 other members of PANIC ROOM (Paul Davies and Gavin John Griffiths). When the band split in 2004, these 4 members continued to work together towards a new sound and a new album, which was to become PANIC ROOM. In April 2008 the band played their first UK dates, and the debut album had its official release. (Available at www.panicroom.org.uk and through Voiceprint distribution) Anne-Marie and the band will be releasing further new material within the next 12 months, and touring live again in September-October 2008.
Mostly Autumn are a rock band, based inYork . Anne-Marie first collaborated with the band when she played some solo supports for them in 2007, and later that year she agreed to 'dep' for flautist / keyboardist Angela Gordon while the latter took some maternity time to have her first child. In early-2008 there were many shuffles to the line-up of the band, and as both Ms Gordon and keyboardist Chris Johnson left to pursue other projects, Helder was asked to stand in and play keys, acoustic guitar , flute and backing vocals. Although juggling solo gigs and Panic Room work already, she was keen to work with the band; and so she recorded vocals and flute with them on the 2008 album 'Glass Shadows', and can be seen touring with the band on all their 2008 shows.Discography
