History

The station was formerly WNDU-AM and then WNDV-AM, serving merely as a simulcast of U-93, its CHR/Top 40-formatted sister station at 92.9. On 2006-05-05, the station changed its call sign to the current WDND. The WDND calls and ESPN Radio format were first used in South Bend on AM 1620 in November 2001, then moved to AM 1580 in March 2004 before moving to their current home in May 2006.
