Kotragada Appanna

Kotragada Appanna (born December 20, 1988) is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a left-arm slow bowler who currently plays for Karnataka. He was born in Virajpet.

Appanna has represented Karnakata since making his debut in an Under-14s competition at the age of 12 in 2001 - and has become one of only three players in that inaugural junior team to make List A appearances thus far. Appanna continued up the representative age groups for Karnakata, all the way up to Under-22 Level.

Appana's debut in first-class cricket came in the 2006-07 Ranji Trophy competition, against Baroda, taking two wickets in the first innings in which he bowled. He made four further appearances in the competition, as Karnakata finished second in Elite Group A. In February 2007, Appanna made his first of his four Under-19 Test appearance for India against New Zealand. Appanna played once again for the senior Karnakata side in the 2007/08 Ranji Trophy - and most recently in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Appanna was selected to play for the Bangalore Royal Challengers in the inaugural Indian Premier League competition in 2008, though he did not play a game in the competition.
