Matthew Frederick Riddle (born January 18, 1986) is a American professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He lives in Arizona, and was a cast member of SpikeTV's "The Ultimate Fighter 7". Also he is a current UFC fighter.

The Ultimate Fighter

Matthew Riddle fought Dan Simmler an understudy of Matt Serra. Riddle knocked out Simmler in the opening of the second round and struck him three times in the jaw after he had lost consciousnessFact|date=July 2008, breaking Simmler's jaw in two places. It was called the biggest knock out in The Ultimate Fighter history by Dana White and the knock out of the century by Quinton Jackson. Riddle was picked second for team Rampage. A few weeks into training with Riddle, Rampage notices that Riddle is always smiling so Rampage gave him the nickname Chipper.Fact|date=July 2008 In the fourth episode of the show Matthew Riddle started to trash talk Dante Rivera a competitor for Team Forest. Dante started telling Riddle that he was going to request to Forest Griffin the fight of Riddle vs. Rivera. Dante then told Riddle that he wouldn't even make it past the first round, and he would bet the sum of 500 dollars. On the day to pick the fight Team Forest made the decision to put Riddle up against Tim Credeur instead of Dante. Credeur defeated Matthew Riddle by an armbar in the second round, knocking Riddle out of the tournament. Matthew Riddle recently defeated Dante Rivera in his debut UFC fight.

Matthew is known as the Chipper (probably named after Chip Douglas from My Three Sons) based on his youthful child like outlook on the fighting world in general.Fact|date=July 2008 It is also noted that at the time of the show, he had no drivers license, no job, and lives with his mother.Fact|date=July 2008

Riddles main experience comes from High School wresting. He wrestled at Saratoga High school in upstate New York.
