The Rt Rev Reginald Stephen (1860 - 1956) [ [http://www.stanleylowlegacy.com/familytree/getperson.php?personID=I51&tree=Low Genealogical details] ] was the Bishop of Tasmania from 1914 until 1919 [Crockford's clerical directory1975-76 Lambeth, Church House, 1975 ISBN 0108153674] and then of Newcastle (NSW) from then until his retirement in 1928. Educated at Geelong Church of England Grammar School and Trinity College, Melbourne [ [http://www.stanleylowlegacy.com/familytree/showmedia.php?mediaID=7 Brief biography] ] he was ordained in 1884. Successively a curate, then parish priest in Melbourne; Chaplain at his old college; Warden of "St John’s Theological College", Melbourne and finally (before his elevation to the episcopate) [Who was Who 1987-1990: London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 071363457X] Dean of Melbourne, he was a leading churchman of his day [He delivered Moorhouse Lectures over a 40 year period "Who was Who" (ibid)] .
