Bacarisas studied in
Paris , (France ) and worked inBuenos Aires (Argentina ) until 1916. He later relocated to theAndalusia n capital of Seville. He also travelled toSweden in order to create the sets and figurines for the opera "Carmen ". He did the same for the premier of "El amor brujo " ( _es. Love, the Magician) at the "Teatro Español " inMadrid . During theSpanish civil war he relocated once again, this time to the Portuguese island ofMadeira .Bacarisas exhibited his work in many Spanish cities as well as abroad. Gibraltarian by birth and adopted by Seville, he was granted gold medal and the title of honorary professor by the
Real Academia de Bellas Artes de Santa Isabel de Hungría ( _es. Royal Academy of Fine Arts of St Isabella of Hungary and was made member of theReal Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando .ee also
