James R. Jordan, Jr.

James R. Jordan Jr. (born 1957) last served as the Command Sergeant Major (CSM) of the 35th Signal Brigade (Airborne) [http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/agency/army/35sig-bde.htm] at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. CSM Jordan cared deeply for his soldiers which was evident when he would be seen around the various battalion areas and motor-pools. He made headlines on November 28, 2004, when he announced that he planned to stay in Iraq with his unit, despite the fact that he had passed his mandatory retirement date.
