Broken Hill to Neil and Jan Horne (née Jan Mclaughlin), Aimee spent her formative years growing up as a daughter of a miner and a nurse. At the age of 8 she moved toAdelaide with her mother after her parents split. She attended high school at Mary Mackillop College from 1999 to 2003.Acting studies and career
In her final year at high school, Horne received the Giradi Drama Award for Excellence in Acting and was the Dux of Classical Studies and Drama. She also received perfect scores in both Music and Drama for her SACE certificate. She attended the
