John Douglas Harrower

The Rt Rev John Douglas Harrower is the current Anglican Bishop of Tasmania [ [http://www.anglicancommunion.org/tour/diocese.cfm?Idind=50 Anglican Communion] ] . He was born on 16 October 1947 [Who's Who 2008: London, A & C Black, 2008 ISBN 9780713672576] and educated at the University of Melbourne. After working as a petroleum engineer and industrial consultant he went to work for the CMS in Argentina [ [http://www.anglicantas.org.au/directory/ac-harrowerj.html Biographical details] ] .Ordained] priest in 1984 he returned to Australia after five years and began to rise steadily in the Church hierarchy becoming successively the Vicar of Glen Waverley, the Archdeacon of Kew before his elevation to the Episcopate [ [http://tenth.anglicansonline.org/news/archives/2000c.html anglicansonline] ] .
