Stephanie Izard (born October 30, 1976) is an American chef residing in Chicago, Illinois, and was the winner of the fourth season of "Top Chef", Bravo's cooking competition show. She was the first female to win the competition.

Stephanie and previous Top Chefs Harold Dieterle, Ilan Hall, and Hung Huynh have all been at the high end of the very first elimination challenge of their respective seasons, with Hung being the only Top Chef who didn't actually win his first challenge.

Stephanie was the first Top Chef to both win 4 elimination challenges and to be at the top of elimination challenges a total of 10 times. Also, she and fellow Season 4 contestant Richard Blais jointly hold the record of most number of elimination challenge wins in Top Chef history: 4 wins each.

On the season four Top Chef Reunion special that aired on June 18, 2008, Izard also won the viewer-elected Fan Favorite title, receiving $10,000 as fan favorite, which was in addition to her Top Chef title and prize; this was the first time the Top Chef was also the fan favorite.

Education and career

Izard was born in Stamford, Connecticut. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Michigan, and her culinary degree from Scottsdale Culinary Institute.
