The "Zaika" station was built in 1899 approximately five kilometers from the Perm station. Clean air, building space and proximity to Kama attracted townspeople here.

However, construction costs of three million rubles (1988 value) prevented the plans from being implemented. Now station Perm-2 issignificantly altered in appearance: the floor and walls atefaced with marble of a dark milky grey color. The doors have been replaced, for passengers' comfort, and the lights have been rearranged, similarly to the subway. Already repaired overflights stair steps to the second floor: they are also executed in marble. For the passengers' comfort and convenience, there will be a shower room and toilet, the metal chairs will be replaced by comfortable chairs and information services will be increased.
