"Inner Heat" was recorded in 2001 and was meant to be Frijid Pink's fifth album. The band was ready for release when Dynasty Records cancelled it. It is not known if this was an authorized Frijid Pink reformation as no original Frijid Pink members were in the band that year or present on the album. Inner Heat features a rerecording of Frijid Pink's 1969 song, "God Gave Me You". This album is very different from its predecessors. Instead of following the blues rock or psychedelic rock format of the band's earlier works, this album's style is very similar to the Alternative metal genre.
