Vera Volkova

Vera Volkova

Vera Volkova ( _ru. Bepa Boлкoвa; 1905 – May 5, 1975) was an influential Russian ballet dancer and dance teacher. Born in Tomsk but trained in Petrograd as a dancer at the philosopher Akim Volynsky's School of Russian Ballet, she was important in spreading the teaching methods of Agrippina Vaganova in the West after her defection in 1929. Her students (though some studied with her more than others) include:
