nextgp= 2008 Skate CanadaThe 2008 Skate America will be the Skate America Grand Prix competition of the 2008-2009 figure skating season. It will be the first event of six in the 2008-2009 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition. It will be organized by the United States Figure Skating Association. Medals will be awarded in four disciplines: men's singles, ladies singles, pair skating, and ice dancing.

In 2008, Skate America will be held in the Comcast Arena at the Everett Events Center in Everett, Washington, from October 23rd through 26th.

The compulsory dance will be the Viennese Waltz.
