Brian Andrews (doctor)

Brian Thomas Andrews (born June 5, 1955) is an American Neurosurgeon. He is the Chairman of the Department of Neurosciences at California Pacific Medical Center and is a founder of the California Pacific Neurological Institute.

Background

Andrews was born in Powell River, British Colombia to his parents Emil Andrews and Shirley Andrews. The family moved to San Francisco, California in 1960.

At age ten, Andrews began playing the accordion in restaurants throughout the Bay Area. The tips that he earned eventually paid for his college education at University of Southern California where is received a Bachelors of Science in 1977. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in 1981 from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.

Andrews earned his National Board Certification in 1982 and his American Board of Neurological Surgery in 1991.

He is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the California Medical Association, the San Francisco Medical Society, the California Association of Neurological Surgeons, and many other prominent organizations.

His office is currenlty located at the California Pacific Medical Center, Davies Campus and he offers an exclusive concierge program in the Treatment of Spinal Stenosis at California Pacific Medical Center.

In addition to being a Neurosurgeon, Andrews is also an author. He's written two novels of fiction: "Knife Under Fire" and "The California Mille". He has also written several medical books: "Intensive Care in Neurosurgery", "Neurotrauma" and "Neurosurgical Intensive Care".

Andrews has been married to Linda Andrews for twenty-five years and has two children, a son and a daughter.
