Early life
Her mother is Australian and her father is Canadian however it has been discussed on the internet and other websites that she is of distant Black heritage on her fathers side, however since she and her father are estranged because he abandoned her early on in life one could assume that she mightn't know her own heritage; but where this information originally came to light is unknown. Australian Theatre for Young People for three years and enrolled as a student in the Brent Street School of Performing Arts, studying dance when she was twelve. Cassie Turner in the Australiansoap opera "Home and Away " from 2004 to 2008. She joined the show permanently in December 2004, having previously appeared twice on the show as a minor character and auditioning for the role ofMartha McKenzie but losing out toJodi Gordon . Sharni was a member of 4 piece girl group 'FoxFire IV' who had minor chart success with their single 'Roses' reaching the top 50 ARIA singles charts. The follow up single 'Romeo' was not released and the group parted ways. 'Romeo' was eventually used on 'Francesca Belperio's' album 'Way Of The World'.
