Ralph H. Upson

Ralph Hazlett Upson worked in the area of manned balloon flight at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company [H. Green and E.N. Findley, Eds. (1920) [http://books.google.com/books?id=aMY7AAAAMAAJ&pg=RA5-PA36&dq=ralph+h+upson "Over There and Everywhere"] , U.S. Air Service 4(1), pp. 36.] and won the 1913 International Balloon Race (with Ralph Preston) [ [http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?_r=1&res=9C00E4DC163AE03ABC4B52DFB3668382609EDE&oref=slogin Round the World Flight] , New York Times, May 13, 1919.] . He was also the second individual to win the Wright Brothers Medal (1929).
