Graham Clark (born 1941,
Lancashire ,England ) is an Englishopera tenor , mainly known for his character roles like Loge (Das Rheingold ), Mime (Siegfried ) and the Captain (Wozzeck ). He has sung in all of the most important opera houses of the world, including the Metropolitan andBayreuth Festival .Clark studied at Loughborough College of Education. After a few years as a gymnastics teacher, he took up singing. In 1975, he was appointed Principal by
Scottish Opera and was Principal withEnglish National Opera from 1977 to 1985. He won theOlivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Opera in 1986 for his role as Mephistopheles in Dr Faustus.
