Wigan Robin Park was founded in 2005, initially the idea of Mike Woodruff (manager of Robin Park Arena) as part of the trust's drive to increase participation at all levels at the borough's sporting facility.
In just their second season, Wigan Robin Park won promotion from the
Manchester Football League First Division, after finishing in second place. They then won the Premier Division at the first attempt to secure promotion to theNorth West Counties League .External links
