Teresa Ruiz López, born December 21, 1986, is a Mexican actress who has appeared in several Mexican films.

Early life

In 1999 Teresa Ruiz lived in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua and became an active member of Nuestras Hijas de Regreso a Casa A.C. ("May our Daughters Return Home, Civil Association") a non profit organization composed of mothers, family members, and friends of victims of the female homicides in Ciudad Juárez. Career

Ruiz studied at the Piero Dusa Acting Conservatory now house of the Promenade Playhouse the tecniques of Stanford Meisner and Stella Adler under the teachings of Natalia Lazaruz, Alfred Molina and Syd Field. Subsequently, Teresa Ruiz starred in, a 2005 production of "Carmen", by Georges Bizet, in the Teatro Fru Fru in Mexico City, "Agnes of God", by John Pielmeier, at the Dusa Playhouse in Los Angeles and in 2007 "Cada Quien Su Fida"cite web|url=http://www.oaxacalifornia.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=412&Itemid=8=newspaper OaxCalifornia|title=Teresa Ruiz interpretara a Frida Kahlo |first=Ruben|last=Gonzales|date=2006-11-02|accessdate=2008-08-14] , a play about the life of Mexican Painter Frida Kahlo. Ruiz played the part of young Frida Kahlo next to Ofelia Medina, and went on tour trough Mexico, Cuba [ [http://http://www.granma.cubaweb.cu/2007/09/22/cultura/artic01.html Frida en Cuba | Periodico Granma - Cubaweb ] ] , the US, Spain, The Cadiz Theatre Festival and Denmark performing at theOdin Teatret . The play received the "Silver Wings" award for Best Play of the Year.

In Fim. Ruiz played the lead role in Mexican film "Bienvenido Paisano" which was released in both Mexico and the US.

In 2006, she appeared in the movie "Bordertown" starring Jennifer Lopez and Antonio Banderas, with this she along with Nuestras Hijas de Regreso a Casa won the "Mujeres en Union" award at the 2007 Spanish Actor Guild in Madrid.

Ruiz also appeared in several other films such as "La Vida Inmune" and the TV series Rebelde.
