Ian Paul McShane (born 13 april 1978) is a Scottish footballer who currently plays for Knattspyrnufélagið Fram in the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild. He crossed the most fierce divide in European club football when he signed for Fram from Grindavik in 2008. He is regularly taunted when he goes back to Grindavik with shouts of "Traitor", and "Judas" just some of the abuse he suffered from a heavily partisan crowd in the Grindavikvollur. During Fram's visit to Grindavik in 2008, on one occasion as McShane was steadying himself to take a corner, he was struck in the face with two large fillets of boneless haddock thrown by an unknown mask wearing fan. Stewards gave chase, but the attacker was never caught, and McShane constantly lives in fear of his next visit to his old home town. Despite this, McShane is one of the outstanding players in the Landsbankadeildin and is watched in awe by fans across the republic. "Watching his skills both on and off the ball made my eyes water like the cold north atlantic squalls" Johan Cruyff
"McShane displays the upper body strength and skills of Gascoigne combined with the pace of a speeding Ferrari Enzo"George Burley (Current Scotland Manager)
