Japanese Sun Cult

Japanese Sun Cult

The term Japanese Sun Cult can refer to the worship of the kami Amaterasu at the expense of the other kami, or it can refer to the primordial belief that the sun itself is the supreme deity. [Wheeler, Post. "The Sacred Scriptures of the Japanese". New York: Henry Schuman, Inc., 1952. (p.393-395)]
