The Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital (MOFH), a military hospital, is located on Nellis Air Force Base and is run by the 99th Medical Group (MDG).
Members of the 99th MDG run the 114-bed medical treatment facility in a joint venture project with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Air Force provides executive oversight of the facility, staffs all outpatient activities and manages 62 of the beds for Department of Defense (DoD) beneficiaries. The VA manages 52 beds and provides care for VA inpatients admitted from the hospital emergency room and the VA Ambulatory Care Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
History
The Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital opened in August 1994.
