- Screenwriting guru
A screenwriting guru is a known, experienced and usually highly paid
screenwriter , screenwriting teacher or book author who has written about the craft ofscreenwriting , and who is also well known and accepted as a professional throughout thefilm industry. The term "guru" is attached to their name because of their extensive knowledge of the form and structure of conventionalscreenplays , as well as to their ability to successfully teach this knowledge to novice "would-be" writers. Among the most well known are:
