Timothy Radcliffe, OP (
1945 ,London –) is aCatholic priest and Dominicanfriar of the English Province, and formerMaster of the Order of Preachers from1992 -2001 . He is the only member of the English Province of the Dominicans to have held the office since the Order's foundation in1216 .Before Radcliffe became Master of the Dominican Order, he had been the Prior Provincial of the Dominicans in England. Widely regarded as theologically progressive, he is a member of the Dominican priory at
Blackfriars, Oxford and a renowned and highly sought after speaker.He was the 2007 winner of the [http://www.michaelramseyprize.org.uk/ The Michael Ramsey Prize] for theological writing, for his book "What Is the Point of Being A Christian?"
Radcliffe is patron and was the opening speaker of the International Young Leaders Network (WWW.IYLN.COM) which exists to identify and nurture young and emerging leaders aged 18 to 33 from the Christian community globally. IYLN is a project of Blackfriars Hall,Oxford, The Epiphany Trust and the Von Hugel Institute at Cambridge University and includes participants from every continent and every sector.
