Arthur Vincent Aston CMG, MC was born in 1896 in
Chester . He was the first British Adviser for Perak after the abolishment of the post British Resident of Perak. He was Resident Commissioner of Penang from 1948 to 1951. He was an internee at Changi and Sime Rd. during the Japanese occupation of Malaya and Singapore.Education
He was educated at
King's School ,Chester andQueen's College ,Oxford . Aston was a Colonial Administrator and had posted as the Resident Commissioner of Penang from 1948-1950 and 1950-1951. He was theWorld War I RFA Cadet Malayan Civil Service in 1919. He joined the Malayan Civil Service from 1919 until 1951. Aston also posted as the Malayan Civil Service Chairman ofKinta Sanitary Board, Acting Resident Councillor ofPenang from (1 April 1933 -20 April 1933 ), District Officer ofTelok Anson , Acting Resident Councillor ofMalacca and British Adviser for Perak (1946 - 1948).Family

7 May 1955 Aston married Patricia Jane Williams, daughter of Captain Roderic Cecil Williams and Alice Katherine Howard Paget. Major Michael Aston was Aston's only child. Aston lived at The Mill House,Swallowcliffe ,Salisbury ,Wiltshire ,England . He died in 1981.Honours
