Ligue 1 side Bastia in 1997 but failed to make any appearances. He then moved to his hometownAjaccio , firstly playing forGazélec Ajaccio and thenAC Ajaccio . From there he moved to Troyes.Zambernardi attracted attention from Hibernian manager
