United States Figure Skating Championships . He took up pair skating for a year withDonna Atwood and together they are the 1941 U.S. pairs champions. As an ice dancer, he won the silver medal at the U.S. Championships with Elizabeth Kennedy, also in 1941.During
World War Two , he served in theUnited States Air Force . After the war, he became a coach and skated professionally. He partnered withSonja Henie during her tour. He also worked as a skating double forCary Grant andPatrick Knowles .He was inducted into the
