Morricone Youth is a New York City sextet formed in 1999 dedicated to performing film and television soundtrack music from the 40's to the present. The band is comprised of members of
Creedle ,The Rugburns , [http://www.crashworship.net/ Crash Worship] , Misty Roses,Pretendo and [http://www.thedaosonfor.com The DaoSon For] . Morricone Youth recorded its debut full length album of original film music entitled "Silenzio Violento" in 2004 withMartin Bisi at B.C. Studio in Brooklyn, New York released on October 8, 2005 by Country Club Records. Guitarist/founder Devon E. Levins hosts a weekly internet radio show under the moniker Morricone Youth Radio onEast Village Radio playing primarily obscure soundtrack music from the past. Four songs from "Silenzio Violento" were used in documentary filmSecond Skin directed by Juan Carlos Pineiro aboutMMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) and the people who play them. The film premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in March 2008.
