A. J. Pollard

Anthony James Pollard (b. 1941) is a British medieval historian, specialising in North-Eastern England during the Wars of the Roses.cite web|url=http://www.tees.ac.uk/schools/sam/research_history_local.cfm?pollard=true|title=Centre for Regional and Local Historical Research - Professor AJ Pollard, FRHistS|publisher=University of Teesside|accessdate=2008-06-05] He is considered the leading authority on the field. [cite web|url=http://www.r3.org/archives/ricardian_britain/middleham/pollard1.html|title=Approaching Middleham|date=1994|publisher=Richardian Register|accessdate=2008-06-05] A fellow of the University of Teesside, he is part of the research staff of the "Centre for Regional and Local Historical Research". In addition to works on the Wars of the Roses, he has also written books on Robin Hood (2004) and Warwick the Kingmaker (2007).
