Paradise Pier is a themed "land" at Disney's California Adventure Park, Disneyland's sister park. Its appearance is based on that of real California boardwalks. Despite its name and the presence of a nearby manmade lake, Paradise Pier is not actually a pier, but merely a waterside area of the park. The roller coaster California Screamin' sprawls across much of it, with various other attractions and forms of entertainment scattered around it.

A new attraction, Toy Story Midway Mania!, opened on June 17, 2008. The attraction is the first in a series of theming upgrades to the land and park as a whole.

California Adventure Remodel

As part of the California Adventure face lift from 2008 to 2012, Paradise Pier will be re-themed as a victorian style pier. Some of the changes will be re-themeing of the boardwalk, light changes, the Sun Wheel will be remade as "Mickeys Fun Wheel" with new lighting effects, and a Mickey Mouse face replacing the Sun face. The line for California Screamin' will be re-themed as well. The Voyage of the Little Mermaid will be replacing Golden Dreams. A Fantasmic style show will be on Paradise Bay.
