T.M. Barrett owned produce businesses, He was born in Europe. served in the Union Cavalry for Wisconsin in the civil war, living at the time in the Pelican Lake area. After the war, he moved to California. Along with Cameron E.Thom , He was a founder of Glendale, California, a NE suburb of Los Angeles, California. His seamstess sister Isabel made dresses for Republican President Herbert Hoover's wife and 1920's actresses in Hollywood .he is buried at Forest Lawn in Los Angeles.
