website = [http://www.papigo.gr/ www.papigo.gr]Papigko ( _el. Πάπιγκο, also transcripted as Papingo, Papigo) is one of the Zagoria villages, located in the
Vikos-Aoos National Park , Epirus,Greece .Papigko actually consists of two villages: Megalo Papigko (Greek: Μεγάλο Πάπιγκο) and Mikro Papigko (Greek: Μικρό Πάπιγκο), big and small Papigko. The only access road for cars first takes you to Megalo Papigko and a kilometre further to Mikro Papigko.
The area and the neighbouring Vikos Gorge, the largest canyon in Greece and (disputably) in all of EuropeFact|date=August 2008, attracts many hikers and mountaineers from around the world. The village of Papigko proper is surrounded by snowcapped mountains (in winter) and also has provisions for lodging as well as tavernas serving up traditional Greek food, coffee, and spirits.
