Jamie Tisch

Jamie Alexander Tisch, the daughter of Linda Tanana and Edgar Franklin Alexander, was born Jamie Leigh Anne Alexander in Alabama. She married Steve Tisch in October 1996, and together they had three children. After becoming a wife and mother, Tisch focused her energy on social responsibility and community service. In 2003, Tisch Co-Founded the Entertainment Industry's Women's Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) along with Marion Laurie, Anne Douglas, Kelly Meyer and Quinn Ezralow. The Women's Cancer Research Fund was created to support innovative research, education, and outreach directed towards the early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of all women's cancers. Jamie Tisch was appointed a Trustee of the Cal State Summer School for the Arts by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2005, where she has served on the board for the past 11 years.Fact|date=June 2008 For 25 years, the program has been offering artistically gifted students from ethnically and economically diverse backgrounds intensive training in multidisciplinary arts programs for future careers in fine and commercial arts.
