Dire Pirate Squad" is a marine platform video game developed by TOSE and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld video game console. It is the fifth game in the "Densetsu no Stafy" video game series.

Brief info

Rampa, a rabbit with a spaceman suit, is being chased by the Dire Pirate Squad-who are after the jewel he has obtained. Stafy, his sister Stapy, and Kyorosuke the clam help out Rampa and try to stop the Dire Pirate Squad. Returning from the previous four Stafy titles are the costume series of power ups - this time, it is a ghost, dragon, chicken, and an ice-tailed manitee costume; however, instead of touching a costume like Stafy did in the previous games, Stafy touches Rampa's thought bubbles to put on a costume. The game also has DS wireless co-op play in some areas, where one person controls Stafy, and the other controls Stapy. There is another feature in which you can send your boss battle records using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.Five different minigames are offered, one of them a baking game starring Stapy. Returning from Densetsu no Stafy 4 is the wardrobe collection in which you dress Stafy and Stapy in different outfits.

Densetsu no Stafy Taiketsu! Dire Kaizokudan has no plans for international release, despite the minor demand outside Japan.
