National Women's History Museum

The National Women's History Museum (NWHM), founded in 1996 by Karen Staser and based in Washington, D.C., USA, is a nonprofit educational institution dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and celebrating the diverse historic contributions of women, and integrating this heritage into the history of the United States.

Planned museum

Until legislation passes in the US Congress to create a permanent museum located in Washington, D.C., the NWHM promotes women's history through temporary exhibits, special events, a virtual museum, and online educational materials. [ [http://www.nwhm.org/about/about.htm About MWHM] ]
