colors=VariousThe Kelly is an
electric guitar made by Jackson for Australianheavy metal group Heaven lead guitaristBrad Kelly . It looks like a sleekGibson Explorer and is used mostly by metal musicians. The KBX, also known as the Kelly Bass, is a 4-string electric bass featuring two active Basslineshumbucker s and a 3-band EQ preamp.The Kelly's distinct body shape gives unique tone and sustain and also puts the neck further out than other guitars making it very easy to play high up the neck. The neck back shape is probably the thinnest of all Jacksons, as it is "cut out" towards the center of the guitar, the "fast" neck makes it easy to play on.
Notable guitarists who used the Kelly are Marty Friedman (
Megadeth ) andAdam Darski (Behemoth), both guitarists however ceased using Jackson guitars and use nowadaysIbanez and ESP respectively.Models
