Roger Bechirian

Roger A Bechirian (born 1954) is an English record producer, best known for his work with Elvis Costello, The Undertones and Squeeze.cite web |url= http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/artist/mvgb/|publisher= BBC |title= Tom McRae|accessdate=2008-05-29]

Bechirian was born in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India, but by the age of ten his family and he had moved to England.

He took college classes in electronics and by 1972, he began working at a recording studio.cite web |url= http://music.aol.com/artist/roger-bechirian/biography/1040969|publisher= AOL, LLC |title= Roger Bechirian Biography|accessdate=2008-05-29] He started to record with musician friends and during this period he formed Blanket of Secrecy with Pete Marsh and Andy Howell. In 1974, he met with the founders of Stiff Records, Jake Rivera and Dave Robinson, and began working with the artists on Stiff Records, including Nick Lowe, Lene Lovich, and Elvis Costello.

Bechirian has also worked with Dave Edmunds and Paul Carrack, and produced The Monkees' "Greatest Hits" album (1995), amongst others.
