Audio file= Hunter.ogg"Hunter" is a song by
Björk , released in 1998 as the third single from "Homogenic ". The single peaked at #44 in the UK.In the video (directed by Paul White), a bald Björk is shot on camera from the shoulder upwards (as shown on the right). Over the course of the song, she shakes and convulses, and, with the assistance of CGI, slowly and unwillingly transforms into a polar bear. By the time the video ends, she has shaken off her carnivorous tendencies and become human again before fading back into the white background.
The song also appeared on the soundtrack to "The X-Files" movie.
Meaning
According to Björk, the song is about others depending on her: [cite web |url=http://unit.bjork.com/specials/gh/SUB-10/index.htm |title=Meaning of "Hunter" |author=Björk |format=HTML]
I guess that song's about when you have a lot of people that work for you and you sort-of have to write songs or people get unemployed, you know? In most cases, it's inspiring but in that particular song I was pissed off with it. I was ready for a break but it didn't seem fair on the people I worked with at the time.

Covers
The song was covered by American rock band
30 Seconds to Mars on the their album "A Beautiful Lie ". The song was not originally a part of the album, but was recorded and added as a bonus track after the album leaked several months before it was to be released. Stylistically, the song is identical to the original, the only differences being in the second verse, the line "How Scandinavian of me" being changed to "How "American" of me," and also the line "You just didn't know me" was added (a line that Björk herself added in various prior live performances).References
