Nollywood Movies (or "Nollywood" as it appears on the EPG) is a subscription movie television channel, broadcast in the United Kingdom on the Sky Digital platform.
The channel is the first 24-hour Nigerian Movie channel to launch and operate in the UK. The Nigerian movie industry (officially known as Nollywood), is the 3rd largest film producing area in the world after Hollywood and Bollywood.
The Nollywood channel broadcasts over 30 different movies a month including Drama, Comedy, Romance, Family, Traditional, Suspense, fantasy and True Story films. These include new and recent releases from production companies in Nigeria. The majority of the films broacast are in english, with a few indigenous-language films with English subtitles also shown. The channel is funded through subscription and advertising.
