- Lysidine
Lysidine is an uncommon
nucleic acid , rarely seen outside oftRNA . It is a derivative ofcytidine differing in that cytidine's 2 carbonyl oxygen is replaced by theamino acid Lysine . Lysidine typically occurs in theanti-codon of the tRNA, where it exhibits far less wobble pairing thancytosine , allowing better translation fidelity.
