Ken Dashow is a writer, performer and director. He is currently a disc jockey at New York City’s Q104.3 rock radio station. Brooklyn born and raised, he has spent the last 30 years in New York radio. He has written several plays, a collection of which was published by Dramatist play Service entitled “Dashow Must Go On”, and “Rock is Dead” which was produced off-Broadway at the Soho Playhouse. His screenplays “The Naked Detective” and “Desire” have become cult classics.

Other work includes host of "The Rock and Roll Tour of Manhattan," a downloadable audio walking tour of famous sites throughout the East and West Villages in New York City published by CityListen Audio Tours.

Ken Dashow is the son of Irving Dashow a retailer in the garment industry and Adele Dashow a Brooklyn community leader. Adele Dashow served as President of PS 206 (she testified in the United States Congress during the 1960s New York City Public Schools strike), President of the Sheepshead Bay Civic and Community Council, and as a Vice President of Community Planning Board 15. Her Brooklyn public service lasted over 30 years.
